We’re working on behalf of a 454-bed, Joint Commission accredited hospital that is part of a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and the surrounding areas. Located in a premier master-planned community, the hospital is one of the most comprehensive healthcare facilities in southern Nevada. The hospital provides the services of the Children’s Medical Center, the Heart Center, a Joint Commission accredited Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center, the Birthplace for women and children, the Breast Care Center and the Robotic Surgery Institute, featuring the da Vinci® XI Surgical System.  The hospital also has adjoining outpatient services for surgery, laboratory and radiology as well as medical offices for physicians of many specialties. The hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services and emergency care including a dedicated pediatric emergency room.
 
Looking for a great opportunity?  We seek a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist with a PGY-1 and/or PGY-2 experience for the role of Oncology Clinical Specialist.  In this role you will provide comprehensive oncology pharmaceutical care through program oversight, integrated drug distribution, patient counseling, and teaching. In this role, you will continue to develop an expanding Adult and Pediatric Oncology Program by working closely with all members of the care team in policy development, workflow management and continuing education activities.
 
Candidates must have a B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. and be licensed as a pharmacist in the state of Nevada (or have the ability to gain this licensure).  Strong preference given to candidates with PGY-1 and/or PGY-2 residency.  Preference also given to candidates with certification as a  Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP).  Candidates must have acute care pharmacy experience.  Must have automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.).  Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
