We're working on behalf of a 116-bed hospital that is the region’s leader in short-term mental health services for children ages 5-12, adolescents 13-17 and adults age 18 and older.  The hospital is the Mid-Atlantic’s only Joint Commission accredited program for eating disorders.  The hospital is setting the standard for adolescent psychiatric care in Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C., metropolitan region, offering comprehensive services to identify and treat today’s difficult issues facing teens ages 13–17.  Hospital professionals and staff work with families to help everyone understand the diagnosis and develop an individual plan tailored specifically to manage your adolescent’s care in the least restrictive environment possible. Program components include Psychoeducation, Psychotherapy, Expressive therapy groups, and Adolescent psychopharmacology.

Looking for a great opportunity with a leader?  We seek a Registered Nurse with three (3) or more years of clinical experience specifically in a Behavioral Health environment and two (2) or more years of management experience in a clinical setting for the role of Manager Psychiatric Nursing - Adolescent Unit.  In this role you will serve a leadership role in the management of clinical and administrative needs within youth services.  You will play a central role in the management of clinical services and on-site support of staff.  Duties will include supervision to all clinical staff on best clinical practices and within organizational policy. Other duties will include unit scheduling of staff assigned to the adolescent unit.  You will serve as a role model to staff by champions service excellence initiatives and behaviors.

Candidates must have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and hold current Licensure as RN in Commonwealth of Virginia or Compact State.  CPR-BLS for healthcare providers required.  Crisis Prevention Interventions (CPI) required as a part of the general hospital orientation.  Must have three (3) or more years of clinical experience in a Behavioral Health environment.  Must have at least two (2) years of management/supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
