Their 60-bed NICU is one of Indiana’s only comprehensive Level IV NICU nurseries, providing the highest level of care available for all neonatal patients needing specialized treatment options. Their High-Risk Infant Follow-Up Care Program ensures that specialized care for babies after they leave the NICU. The hospital continues to collaborate with developmental pediatricians and specialists in other departments to monitor the baby’s condition and ensure that each infant continues to make strides following treatment in the NICU.
Looking for a great opportunity? We seek a Masters educated Registered Nurse with five (5) or more years of leadership experience, preferably in an academic setting, for the role of Director – NICU Clinical Operations.In this role you will provide administrative direction to the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) multi-disciplinary care center with an emphasis on quality management and enhanced customer service. You will be responsible for providing leadership in all facets of patient care and be accountable for the initiation and completion of business and unit plans that ensure quality while utilizing available resources efficiently. This position is accountable for alignment of the care center vision with the organization mission, values and excellence goals (people, service, financial, clinical).
Candidates must have a Masters degree in Nursing or related field (Public Health, Health Administration, Business) and have (or be eligible for) licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana. Must have five (5) more years of pediatric leadership experience. Must be able to communicate and collaborative effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team. Must be able to build effective working relationships with the physicians. Must have in-depth knowledge of state and national regulatory agency guidelines. Must be able to lead quality improvement initiatives. Must be accountable for the management and utilization of resources.
