We’re working on behalf of a leading provider of senior living communities, services and programs in New Jersey since 1996. The organization has a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Basking Ridge as well as a vast array of at-home services throughout New Jersey. Their hospice program is dedicated to providing care to meet the spiritual, physical, social and emotional needs of terminally ill individuals and their families residing in the New Jersey counties of Essex, Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Union and Warren. Their hospice care focuses on maintaining the loved one’s personal dignity, responding nonjudgmentally to individual needs and concerns and providing spiritual, physical, social and emotional comfort and comprehensive support that addresses the whole person.
Interested in an with a faith-based, not-for-profit organization? We seek a Registered Nurse with three (3) or more years of hospice experience for the role of Hospice RN Supervisor. In this role you will oversee a primary caseload of hospice patients as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with the hospice Medicare Conditions of Participation, New Jersey hospice licensure laws, accrediting body standards and agency policies and procedures. You will implement the plan of care and reevaluate and revise the plan of care relative to the patient’s nursing needs to provide appropriate, comprehensive, and responsive goals and interventions. You will teach, supervise, and counsel the patient, family members, and staff regarding nursing care and the patient’s needs. You will work closely with other members of the IDT to ensure all patient and family care needs are being met. You will provide supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses and Hospice Aides/Homemakers.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and be licensed as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey. Must have at least three (3) years of hospice experience. Strong preference given to candidates who hold certification as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN). Must be able to work within an interdisciplinary setting. Must have an understanding of hospice philosophy, principles of death/dying. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation that is insured in accordance with New Jersey state requirements.
