Looking for a change of scenery?  We seek a Registered Nurse with three (3) or more years of experience as a DON or ADON for the role of Director of Nursing.  In this role you will round on unit at least once daily.  You will perform general management functions such as hiring, disciplining, and evaluating employees.  You will interview and hire new nursing staff.  You will plan and facilitate meetings and committees to address resident care issues.  You will review time sheets for accuracy before payroll.  You will manage the Nursing Department with the goal of achieving and maintaining the highest quality of care possible.  You will develop and manage systems to assure clinical competencies.  You will participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that promote the recruitment, retention, development and continuing education of nursing staff members.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina (or have the ability to gain this licensure).  Must have three (3) or more years of experience as a DON or ADON in a long term care setting.  Must be able to to communicate effectively with residents and their family members,  and at all levels of the organization.  Must be able to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.  Must be able to organize and prioritize.
