Looking for a change of scenery?  We seek candidates with certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics and five (5) or more years of experience  for the role of Medical Physicist III.  In this role you will provide the Radiation Oncology Department with physics services to ensure a high level of radiation treatment quality and patient/staff safety.  You will participate in radiation equipment/software quality assurance program, treatment planning procedures, brachytherapy and special procedures, ensuring radiation equipment performance/maintenance, radiation safety and staff training.

Candidates must have a Masters degree or Ph.D. and from a CAMPEP accredited Medical Physics program.  Must have certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics. Must have five (5) to ten (10) years of work experience post certification. Must have extensive knowledge of Medical Physics with emphasis on the physics of radiation therapy. Must be able to perform most of the following procedures: Acceptance testing, commissioning of radiation treatment equipment, treatment planning software/algorithms; radiation equipment calibration and quality control; treatment planning, including 3D, IMRT, SRS and HDR; brachytherapy procedures, including high dose rate procedures; and radiation safety. Must have strong working knowledge of radiation treatment delivery systems, computer software/interfaces, and EMRs. Excellent computer skills required, with working knowledge of computer networks, interfaces, EMRs, and specialized radiation therapy software/hardware.
