Ready for a change of scenery? We seek candidates with five (5) or more years’ experience as an MLS, in a clinical hospital laboratory with increasing responsibility and experience related to training and competency, for the role of Medical Lab Scientist - Lab Lead Educator.  In this role you will serve in a role that enhances professional practice through planning, developing, and conducting education, development and education, competency and training for laboratory and other key laboratory services staff.  You will evaluate the effectiveness of programs and provide guidance to staff and key leaders based on results. You will facilitate assessment and identification of ongoing learning needs for staff development programs. You will design and deliver programs that support the organization’s mission, vision, values and strategic goals implemented.  This position also performs all essential functions of a Med Lab Scientist as defined by the department. 

Candidates must have a Baccalaureate degree (BA or BS) in Medical Technology or clinically related biological science.  Must have completed successful examination and registration as a Med Lab Scientist with ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) or equivalent.  Must have at least 3-5 years of experience as a medical laboratory scientist in Laboratory setting.  Must be able to communicate effectively, in both oral and written formats.  Must have working knowledge of ancillary and support department responsibilities. Must have excellent presentation, facilitation and computer technology skills, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to take initiative, solve problems and improve processes.
