We seek a Medical Technologist with ASCP certification 3-5 years’ histotech experience for the role of Lab Manager - Pathology. In this role you will serve as a working bench manager and oversee the Pathology Department.  This includes Histology, Cytology, and Pathology Office staff as well as routine coverage of shifts in Histology/Cytology areas. This position is key to quality management, process improvement and regulatory compliance for all areas of the Pathology Department. This will require working closely with the Pathologists as part of the Laboratory Management team.  The position is responsible for all aspects of patient result reporting in any assigned area of the laboratory, demonstrating superior proficiency in analysis, quality control and quality assurance operation and evaluation, procedure implementation and maintenance, superior communication skills, customer service, instrument implementation and maintenance, problem solving, leadership and organization/prioritization skills. Collaborates with all members of the health care team to provide quality service to our customers. 

Candidates must have a Baccalaureate degree (BA or BS) in Medical Technology or clinically related biological science.  Must have completed successful examination and registration as a Med Lab Scientist with ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) or equivalent.  Must have at least 3-5 years of experience as a medical laboratory scientist in Laboratory setting. Immunohistochemistry experience is required. Must be able to communicate effectively, in both oral and written formats.  Must have working knowledge of ancillary and support department responsibilities. Must have excellent presentation, facilitation and computer technology skills, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to take initiative, solve problems and improve processes.
