Looking for a change of scenery?  We seek a Pharm.D. with PGY-1 residency training or 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience in an acute care setting for the role of Clinical Pharmacy Manager.  In this role you will assist the Director of Pharmacy with operational aspects of the department. You will be responsible for scheduling and budgeting activities.  You will work with Clinical Pharmacists and Clinical Specialists and oversee projects including formulary management, policy and procedure development, protocol review and implementation, as well as serving on interdisciplinary committees.  You will be responsible for clinical and process education within the pharmacy department and with other clinical disciplines.  You will participate in performance improvement activities and educates staff about same.  You will Instruct nursing staff on administration of parenteral medications. Interprets physician prescriptions and medication orders.  You will act as a drug information resource to patients, medical staff, nursing staff and ancillary department personnel.  You will assume the unit's clinical responsibilities, attend multidisciplinary rounds, and perform clinical consults and medication regimen reviews.  You will oversee student program and precept students.  You will work with IT pharmacist to maintain and update EHR. 
Candidates must have a Pharm.D. and be licensed as a pharmacist in the state of Texas (or have the ability to gain this licensure).  Candidates must have PGY-1 residency training or 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience in an acute care setting.  Preference given to candidates with PGY-2 training or leadership/project management experience. BCPS certification is desired.
